I like it. It's an interesting concept and has good backstory. The art isn't back and it has a kind of good immersion.

Okay, I'm going to come right out and say it. I found nothing wrong with the first TEC, and I find nothing wrong with it's sequel but the balance. You put a great spin on an already great game, and I literally find nothing wrong with it but the balance, which does not warrant any lowering of stars. The one thing wrong with the balance is that if you go all the way in one stat/class, you are untouchable. Only upgrade attack based things? You kill everything before it touches you. Only upgrade HP based things? You take a long time killing things, but you can't be defeated. Only upgrade defense? 0 damage all around! My real point here is, if you go indefinitely into something like attack (which I did) it breaks the game balance.

"I CUT YOUR FUCKING HANDS WITH A ROTARY SAW.
YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A ROOM."
Okay, Jesus game. Now I have to type this reply with my nose.

Honestly, I'm replaying this for the 7th time (several new computers, don't ask) and it's still perfect. The animation and art leave a lot to the imagination, and that's one of the best things about it. The realism of this game is insane, if a pathogen like that was airborne, then everything would go to shit rather quickly. The story is incredibly somber and gives a peek into a possible future of humanity. The fact of there is only one chance puts exactly the same amount of pressure on you which you'd actually feel in this situation. The music sets the theme wonderfully, as well as the fact of no voice acting. I only see a single major flaw, and that's with the story. I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to make a cell destroying formula airborne. If it's a gas and it's doing that, it sounds like it would be more of a murder weapon than a cure for cancer. It's a lot more likely that the formula will be applied in a form of liquid. Just pointing that out, either way this game is amazing.

Well... what can I say? It's Pong, a game that was revolutionary for... being a game, and you put a great spin on an old title. I love the music, and the sounds give it a futuristic vibe, which I like. The graphics are pleasing to the eye, the power-ups are fun and balanced, and there's just something about the color of the ball changing with who hit it last that I like. I see only 2 things wrong, which don't even warrant a lowered rating. The first is a problem with the music that's playing. Yeah, I get it, it's royalty free, and it's good to hear the first maybe 9 times, but after a while, that same music starts to feel repetitive and all of a sudden that pumping music that got you ready to play the game is a blade gleaming dully slashing into your ears!
Woah. Didn't realize I felt that strongly about that.
Ahem, as I was saying, my other one is a problem, again, with the music. The music that plays when you get a power-up doesn't layer well at all with the music that's always playing. Either have one or the other. Preferably the power-up music so that we don't have to always listen to that music (besides clicking the mute button, thank you for that btw).
Basically what I'm saying is you did a fantastic job. This will probably net you a high ranking on the top games. Hopefully you keep making games.
Best wishes,

Thanks for the awesome review! I'll begin working on improving and replacing the current game music now. It should be sorted by the end of today :). This will be just the beginning
, we will be making many more games in the future.

I'm going to be honest, when I started this I was genuinely confused at what I was supposed to do. I looked at the starting screen and immediately thought "HOLY FUCK KILL IT WITH FIRE!" Not even joking. That was my genuine first reaction. Once I realized what you had to do to get past the ugly title screen I was then confused at what I was supposed to do. I ended killing myself on some spikes because why not (which struck terror in my heart after a game with seemingly no sound deafened me with that scream) and then I scrolled down. I saw the stairs and realized "Okay, I'm supposed to keep going." And I did. And I regret that I did. It's extremely easy to pass through every level but every part of the game is just so confusing and ugly that I just couldn't force myself to finish it. I saw that you tried to integrate some features, which since you provided no tutorial for anything confused me to no end. The art was very clearly done in MS Paint by a 4 year old. I'm going to be honest, this entire thing was just an ugly, confusing, soundless, clusterfuck of stupidity, and it was not fun at all to play. My final quote to seal this is "Wha... I just...Whaaaat?" Hope you work on your game making skills and I give you the best of wishes,

This game... THIS GAME! GOD DIGLETT IT'S WAY TOO ADDICTIVE! THE ART IS DECENT THE ANIMATION IS GOOD THE SONG SOUNDS GREAT THE IDEAS ARE CREATIVE AND I LOVE IIIIT!

Dis needs de sanic to be trully gret, but so far you've gotten gud.
Gottsa go fest.

Okay, I'm going to admit it here, I PLAYED THIS GAME CONSECUTIVELY 14 TIMES BECAUSE OF HOW FUN AND ADDICTIVE IT IS. I love this game. The game play is genuinely fun, I like collecting a bunch of rings and the chaos emeralds, and when the missiles come in, WOOO! It's such a rush when you duck just under a missile to get that one last ring, or that one final chaos emerald! And going super sonic really balances it out, the fact that you can get an invincibility power AND said invincibility power allows you to take out your rage on those rockets- TAKE THAT ROCKETS!- makes it really fun as well. The last this is the setting in of the pressure when several missiles are coming down and you're almost out of time and you have no rings AND- NOOOO! I FAILED! The speed makes the game both easy and hard at the same time. The missiles move kind of slowly, making your super speed kind of worthless when they're in the way, but at the same time with the amount of rings you need and the time you have, speeD IS KEEEEEY! I said it once and I'll say it again, I LOVE THIS GAME! This game needs to instantly be placed on the front page! Keep making games like this and you will have all the fly honeys and all the cash moneys!

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and telling me all the things you enjoyed about it as it's humbling and much appreciated! I tried my best to balance the gameplay around going fast but still avoiding the missiles. You get rewarded for not being hit at all and punished for being hit while still giving you a chance to redeem yourself with the random gems that can appear.

The highest scores come from consistently getting 300 rings without being hit to force out chaos emeralds. That allows you to get Super Sonic quickly and as often as your skill allows! Please share this game with friends and anyone you know so it can make it to the front! I will continue to improve it to make it clearer the bonuses you get from collecting rings on the HUD once this project finally makes it out from here and I'll listen to everyone's input because without you all I wouldn't be able to create or improve this game!

I've been on Newgrounds since before I had hair on my balls. Look through my old posts if you want some cringe, but otherwise I'm just another run-of-the-mill edgy teen artist.
