I think I have an idea of what happened in this, and great animation btw.
Mr. Sickness was a being who embodies life, where the Grim Reaper is a being who embodies death.
However, Mr. Sickness can only prolong life, not reverse death. Thus, Mr. Sickness appears where he is needed and attempts to prevent death, however, death will not wait. When Mr. Sickness is not paying attention and cannot save them, death strikes, and kills however he can, like in Final Destination, but with a more direct approach. Thus, this ends up being a battle between Mr. Sicknesses abilities and time.
Death always happens. It's simply a matter of time.
Overall, I liked the animation. The style was simple, but that's what I liked about it. The story is a sad but true one, and I love the thought of it. Using a plague doctor mask for Mr. Sickness's face was an amazing design choice, and the fact that the mask blends with his skin further encourages that he is not a being of this world. The music set the ambiance brilliantly, and I loved this thing. Thank you for bringing this about. I would honestly consider continuing Mr. Sickness's story in some way, maybe him trying to save more people, only for them to be claimed by Death. If you do, it would be invaluable to keep this same silent mysterious style.
